When looking for an eco-friendly community, LEED-certified apartments in Foster City include upscale living available at The Plaza. At our apartment homes, green living is at the top of the list beginning with its construction.

Using sustainable materials to construct the buildings and conserving natural resources while the project was underway minimized excessive use of water, electricity and gas. The complex also used recycled wood-chip byproducts for joists and beams versus wood-frame construction. This was yet another way to be green, support forest growth, and lessening the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere.

During construction, the site promoted on-site recycling to lessen the burden on already over used landfills. With these steps put into place, The Plaza earned the level of “Gold” when meeting the standards for LEED certification.

Residents of The Plaza will also see savings in gas consumption by using the convenient mass transit system and access to Caltrain. If you’re a bike rider, there’s plenty of storage, nearby scenic trails, and a bike repair shop.
