Here are five yoga poses that will help you relax and allow you to enjoy luxury and comfort at The Plaza to the fullest:
- Start your day with the Half Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskara). Position yourself into the Mountain Pose (Tadasana). Extend your arms above your head as you inhale, and bend your body forward as you exhale. Lift your torso halfway, and place your hands on your shins, extending your spine. As you exhale, bend forward again. On the last inhale, stand up straight and bring your hands into the “prayer” position.
- Stretch your core and torso, and open your chest with the Camel Pose (Ustrasana). Kneel with your thighs perpendicular to the surface. Put your hand on your pelvis with your fingers pointing down. Press your shoulder blades against your ribs as you inhale. Lean back and drop your hands to your feet. Pressing firmly against your heels, relax your shoulders and hold the pose.
- Strengthen your legs and bring energy into your body with the Warrior II Pose (Virabhadrasana II).
- The Restorative Triangle Pose (Utthita Trikonasana) focuses on expanding and breathing. Stand with your feet around 4 feet apart. Turn your front foot outward and back foot inward, and stride your hand toward your front shin. Face the sky as you raise the other hand up.
- Finish your session with the balancing, whole body-strengthening Side Plank (Vasisthasana) with five breaths on each side.
The opportunity to relax with the help of your own yoga routine is just one of the perks at our Foster City apartments with yoga studio. Contact us for more information or to schedule a tour and see for yourself.

Fall Foster City Fruits that are Safe for Your Dog to Eat
October 22nd, 2014
Having a dog means that our souls are constantly at ease. There’s something about the loving and attentive nature of a dog that is sure to make one smile and keep a person in a pleasant state of mind.

If you’re concerned about which fall fruits are okay for your dog to eat at your pet-friendly apartments in Foster City, we have some information for you. Here are fall fruits that are safe for your dog to eat.
- Apples: There are incredible benefits for your dog when he eats apples. In fact, many top of the line dog food companies utilize apples in their food. Still, apples can be dangerous. Make sure to clear any stems, seeds, and leaves away before feeding your dog an apple. These other parts can cause digestive problems, so be thorough when preparing apples for your pup!
- Pears: In the same way as apples, pears are nutritious and helpful for your dog. The mealy quality of pears makes for an excellent source of fiber. But, just as with apples, make sure to get rid of the stems and seeds so as to not hinder your dog in any way.
- Pumpkins: The most plentiful and colorful of fall fruits, pumpkins are everywhere this time of year! Luckily, pumpkins are a great treat for your dog. This differs from apples and pears because the seeds are fine, and even healthy, for your dog to eat. Be sure to give them raw seeds if you do as prepared and salted pumpkin seeds are less nutritious for your furry friend.

This class will take place on November 5th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. It will be held at The VIBE, which is located at 670 Shell Boulevard. This is less than one mile from our affluent Foster City apartments.
This workshop is free, and it is only open to parents. Here, you will be provided with tips on social media trends and how to keep your children safe on the internet.
Prior to attending this workshop, it’s a good idea to learn some of the reasons why teaching your children safety on the internet is important.
- The internet is sometimes used as a tool by bullies.
- There is a lot of marketing geared toward children online. This can be disguised as games or information. Unfortunately, many tobacco and alcohol messages are targeted to children. It’s important that your children learn to be media literate.
- All information on the internet cannot be taken as truth. Your child needs to question, compare, and verify all information.
- Sexting can also occur over the internet.
- Too much time on the internet can take the place of other activities in your child’s life. Limit the amount of time your child spends online.
Of all of the educational events in Foster City, you don’t want to miss this family enrichment series on internet safety.
