Perfect Market-to-Plate Cooking at The Plaza
May 29th, 2013
How far would you drive to get high quality produce, locally grown and always fresh? After all, the people sitting at the dinner table in your luxury apartment in Foster City have come to expect the very best, haven’t they?
How fortunate that you don’t have to drive far at all! The West Coast Farmer’s Market operates every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Charter Square Shopping Center. To get there, just head southeast on Pilgrim Drive to Hillsdale Boulevard, then Shell Boulevard and the Market.
You will find fruits and vegetables in season, freshly baked breads and even flowers to grace the table. You can stick to organically grown food without paying exorbitant grocery store prices. Bring it all home to the beautifully appointed kitchen in your luxury apartment in Foster City, and you will soon be preparing the perfect meal.
Storage is easy in your stainless steel refrigerator, and the modern gas stove provides easily regulated temperatures for cooking efficiently. For other news and information about shopping in the area, follow us on Facebook and share tips with your Foster City neighbors.

Catch Caltrain to See the World Champion SF Giants
May 23rd, 2013
Just a short distance away from The Plaza of Foster City, you can catch a Caltrain to San Francisco. Not only will this save you from the onerous traffic that the 101 is infamous for, but it’ll give you more time to read your favorite novel or get a jump on your weekly work. All you have to do is make your way over to the Hayward Park Station, and you’ll be off and rolling to wherever you want to go.
Of course, the best time of the week to use the trains is for the fun in the sun that you will find over at AT&T Park when the San Francisco Giants are in town. After all, they are one of the best things about living in the Bay Area, and you don’t want to miss the action and excitement this summer.
There are plenty of chances to see the Giants take on teams from across the country as they work their way back to the Series for another pennant this fall. So, grab your sunglasses, pick up some tickets and become a part of the action. Afterwards, jump on Facebook and tell everyone how much fun you had.

Why It’s Better to Cook with Gas at The Plaza
May 15th, 2013
One of the best things about the kitchens at The Plaza is that each is equipped with a gas stove. These incredible culinary tools have long been the favorite tool for chefs across America because they are not only easy to use, but they are fantastically efficient cooking surfaces.
Why is that? There are many reasons, but the biggest one is because gas stoves are easier to control than electric cooking surfaces. This means that it is easier for the chef to control the temperature of whatever they are cooking, and in the end, that reduces the possibility of scorching or burning dinner.
While a gas stove is nice, having a solid stone countertop to put pots and pans on afterward is an added bonus that you will find at The Plaza. Not only do these provide a durable surface to prepare food upon, but their stunning appearance blends perfectly with the stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave/hood combo that we’ve put in all of our apartments.
To learn more about our chef-approved kitchens in our Foster City apartments, give us a call at 877-506-2678. We will be happy to arrange an appointment to give you a tour of our apartment community!
Glow Ball Golf at Foster City’s Mariners Point
May 9th, 2013
Looking for a unique spin on a classic club and ball sport? Your search is over!
Mariners Point Golf Center will be hosting the 2013 Spring Glow Ball Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 7:00 pm to midnight at the Mariners Point Golf Course, just minutes away from your Foster City apartment.
You might be wondering two things: what is glow ball golf, and why is a golf tournament taking place at night? To answer both questions, glow ball is golf played at night with glow-in-the-dark golf balls. In fact, the final play of the Glow Ball Golf Tournament is 9 holes of “Lights Out Glow Ball”. Sounds like fun, right?
To participate, just put together your team of five adults, each of whom will receive two glow-in-the-dark balls, dinner, and a T-shirt. Register your team for $250 ($50 per player) for 18 holes of night golf. You’ll have the added benefit of supporting the Foster City Youth and Teen Foundation with your registration!
Enjoy the fresh spring evening while enjoying the sight of golf balls glowing in the night sky. Glow ball adds a whole new level to golf! If you’ll be taking part in the 2013 Spring Glow Ball Golf Tournament, let us know on Facebook!
