Eating At: Kingfish in San Mateo

If you are looking for a fantastic restaurant in Foster City, Kingfish is a perfect choice. Kingfish is located north on US-101 to 3rd Avenue in San Mateo and housed in a historical art deco 1920’s building.
Walking into Kingfish is like walking into a dream as its decor creates a magnificent ambiance. The decor consists of a Southern Louisiana collection of folk art. The menu features the freshest seafood like Pan Roasted Sea Bass, Oysters Herbsaint, and Grilled Mahi ‘Catalonia’. The goal is to ensure to delight guests with exactly what they desire and crave.
The Oyster Bar has a wide range of spirits prepared by talented mixologists. If you’re thinking about wine with your meal, Kingfish has two cellars with some of the rarest offers in the Bay.

Pups Run Free at Foster City’s Dog Park

Residents at our apartments in Foster City are happy because they’re living in the midst of everything with countless urban and pastoral options easily available. These privileges are not only limited to human dwellers, but for dogs as well.
A section of Foster City’s Dog Park is available for dogs to run free, regardless of their size. To make your stay at Foster Dog Park exciting, you simply have to follow some basic rules like cleaning up afterward your pet and ensuring your four-legged friend is obedient.
Those same rules apply to Shore Dogs Park, just eight miles south on US-101 to Holly Street in Redwood City. This location has drinking water for dogs and benches for you to sit on and enjoy the view of the San Francisco Bay.
Seal Point Dog Park also provides a view of the bay, but it’s much closer to The Plaza. Just head north on 3rd Avenue, and you’ll be hard-pressed to miss the spacious area. Surrounded by trails and grassy hillsides, big and small dogs will have free reign to run and get a drink from a water bowl at this dog park.

E Komo Mai to Foster City’s Polynesian Festival

If you’re looking for something unique to do, check out the Polynesian Festival. This event offers something fun for all ages, admission is free, and it all takes place close to your luxury apartment in Foster City.
The Polynesian Festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. This festival includes live music and dancing featuring Hawaiian hula dancers, Cook Islands drum dances, and authentic Polynesian food.
You’ll have an opportunity to shop from various vendors or take an outrigger canoe ride. The goal of this festival is to give patrons a peek inside Polynesian culture.
The festival will be held at Leo Ryan Park, a short trip from The Plaza down Hillside Boulevard off Central Lake. So don’t miss Samoan sivas, Tongan kailao, and plenty of great food, arts, and music!
