2 Foster City Parks Celebrate Re-openings with Big Upgrades!

You are invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the re-opening of Sea Cloud and Port Royal Parks on Saturday, September 8, 2012. The ribbon cutting event will begin 8 a.m. at Sea Cloud Park and proceed to the ribbon cutting at Port Royal Park at 8:30 a.m.

Sea Cloud Park has been called the “sporting gem” of the Peninsula. It is the home of the Foster City Little League and offers more than 23 acres of baseball diamonds, soccer fields,  lawn area, play apparatus, snack shack, batting cages, and restrooms. Park renovations at Sea Cloud Park include the installation of synthetic surface soccer and baseball fields, hardscape improvements, utility upgrades, and installation of park goal storage.

Tucked into the southern-most point of Foster City, Port Royal Park offers 4 acres of soccer fields, restrooms, play apparatus, and walkways for a lovely afternoon stroll. Park renovations at Port Royal Park include the installation of a synthetic surface soccer field, two-lane walking track, enhanced landscape and hardscape, and playground improvements.

The Foster City City Council, the Parks and Recreation Department extends its thanks to the following sports groups for their contributions in making this project successful: American Youth Soccer (AYSO), Peninsula Youth Soccer (PYSC), Foster City Little League, Foster City Tournament Baseball, and Foster City Youth Softball Association.
