A Toolkit for Eco-Friendly Stain Removal in the Washer

If you put together a special collection of stain-fighting products, your Foster City apartment with washer and dryer will stay as green as ever.

  • Oxygen bleach: Bleach is known to be harmful to the environment, but oxygen bleach is a better, chlorine-free alternative. Used sparingly, it can lift many stains and brighten your whites for summer.
  • Vinegar: Plain white vinegar works wonders on berry stains, beer, coffee, tea, some inks, mildew, and mold. It adds no color of its own and leaves a fresh, clean scent.
  • Enzyme-based commercial stain removers: These products are formulated to remove tough stains, like coffee and chocolate, and odors with a natural formula that will not harm the environment. Find it at the store, or you can make your own from ingredients sold at health food stores.

Our luxury eco-friendly apartments in the Pilgrim-Triton area of Foster City are dedicated to sustainable living. Contact us at 877-506-2678 to learn how to become a resident of The Plaza.

Bike Foster City’s Bayfront Trail from Coyote Point

May 22nd, 2014

It’s always a lot of fun to grab a bike in Foster City and take it for a spin. The next time you grab your helmet and water bottle, be sure to take a look at the Bayfront Trail. It’s one of the area’s most popular, and you will definitely enjoy the fabulous views it has to offer.

The trail runs through the Coyote Point Recreation Area. This means you can ride your bike to the beach, hang out on the playground, or catch a boat to go sailing after your ride. The park also features a swimming area, jogging paths, and plenty of fabulous fishing.

In total, the park’s trail is 12 miles long. You can take it all in at once, or you can explore pieces at a time. If you do the whole trail at once, it’s estimated that it should take about three hours at a reasonable pace. So grab a lunch, get some water, and hit the trail!

Bringing a bike to Foster City? Contact The Plaza at 8777-506-2678, and we will be happy to show you where you can park it at your new apartment in the Bay area.

Tips for Renters on Storage at Our Foster City Apartments

May 8th, 2014

Apartment living is great. Think about it: you don’t need to worry about repairs or yard work, it is more affordable, and the amenities give you access to many things you would not have in a house. Of course, everything with pros also has cons, and storage space, or a lack of it, is one of the cons of apartment living. Luckily at our Foster City apartments with storage space, you don’t need to worry about that.
