Your Foster City apartment with club room gives you a great location from which to catch the San Francisco 49ers as they battle their way to victory at home or in enemy territory. It’s the next best thing to actually being at the game, because the club room offers big-screen televisions, a catering kitchen and billiards tables for half-time entertainment.

The 49ers aren’t just a football team, they are a dynasty. It’s one that Bay Area residents love to show their support for no matter whether we’re doing it at the stadium, in our homes, at a local hang-out or sports bar, or cheering them on from the parking lot! While you may not be that much of a fanatic, you still want to catch a few of the 49ers’ games:

  • November 10 – Carolina Panthers
  • November 17 – New Orleans Saints
  • November 25 – Washington Redskins
  • December 1 – Los Angeles Rams
  • December 8 – Seattle Seahawks
  • December 15 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • December 23 – Atlanta Falcons

Get together with a few friends and enjoy watching the games in the community club room of your Plaza at Foster City Apartment.  Share your team spirit on our Facebook page, and let us know how much you love our home team!

Green Entertaining at Our Outdoor Kitchen and Dining Area

October 8th, 2013

Our apartments in Foster City feature an outdoor kitchen that is perfect for entertaining your friends, coworkers, and your visiting family. Here are some ways you can keep your dinner parties in the green this year.

  1. Decorate with an eco-conscious flair. Instead of buying temporary party decor, go with some natural foliage, rocks, and branches instead. Lemons, pine cones, and leaves are also great alternative decorations to use.
  2. Buy seasonal and local produce whenever possible. That’s one of the best things about living in California; there is always plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to go around the table.
  3. Drink and eat green. Choose sustainable meats, fish, and other products to set upon the table.
  4. Don’t use paper cups, paper napkins, and other disposable cookware. Instead, use dishwasher safe items that you can use and reuse for all of your dinner parties to come.
  5. Clean up green. Make sure that recyclables are recycled and waste that can be composted is not thrown in the trash.

What do you like to cook when you are entertaining? Get on our Facebook page and share your recipe for success with your neighbors at The Plaza.

The Swingin’ Door: San Mateo County’s Dueling Piano Bar

October 2nd, 2013

The Swingin' Door

There’s a piano bar in town where the doors never stop moving. Between the music and the crowds, there is always something trying to keep them open. Over at The Swingin’ Door, you will have a chance to see how great food, an incredible atmosphere and wonderful music can make a restaurant come to life.

Three nights a week, they offer karaoke to supplement their repertoire of live bands, DJ’s and dueling pianos. This makes The Swingin’ Door one of San Mateo County’s liveliest restaurants. It also makes it a wonderful place to take your friends, hang out with coworkers or take that special person in your life out for a night on the town.

Indeed, they are proud that their world-class Dixieland, jazz, fish n’ chips, and incredible staff keep people coming in from all over the Bay Area. Trust us, go one time, and you will go back every week.

The next time you’re driving through town, be sure to stop by The Plaza Luxury Apartments. We have the finest community in town, and if you are not already living here, you will want to move in as soon as you see everything we have to offer our residents.
